Genesis (feat. Lauren Hailey)

about

"Genesis" is a digital single that takes the position of Adam in the book of Genesis in the Bible. The song highlights man's struggles with dealing with his unshakeable affection toward women, distractions and temptations, and realizing that he has to develop strength in resisting lustfulness. I make it perfectly clear that regardless of the beauty and behavior of women, men have the ability to overcome that and remain focused on maintaining a sense of order in their lives. The song takes inspiration from Ez Elpee's work on the 2001 hit "Oochie Wally" by Nas and Bravehearts. The project also boasts a feature from the sensual R&B singer Lauren Hailey.

lyrics

Hmmm
Aye aye
Oooh oh oooh oh

Oochie wally wally
Oochie bang bang
Oochie wally wally
Oochie bang bang
Oochie wally wally
Oochie bang bang

I don't know if we came from the Earth
If God raised us from the dirt
If the chicken hatches eggs
I don't know which done came here first

But I know God made you from me
And I know how you made us hurt
Told you not to eat from tree
Yet you fool around with the serpent

From temptation was free
But then God made you for me
All that beauty inside you
How is it not inside me?

I feel like you know a truth
Something I've been trying to seek
You don't know God like I do
How is it you conquer me?

Oochie wally wally
Oochie bang bang
Oochie wally wally
Oochie bang bang

Oochie wally wally
Oochie bang bang
Oochie wally wally
Oochie bang bang

Oochie wally wally
Oochie bang bang
Oochie wally wally
Oochie bang bang

Oochie wally wally
Oochie bang bang
Oochie wally wally
Oochie bang bang

Whatever, you show me that body
I can't help but be enticed
God made us so we were naked
But you're marvelous in my sight, hmm

All this must be sacred
After all, you are my wife
After all we ate it
Somehow we still have our life, huh

God must be a hater
Everything's gone be alright, huh
Even if we meet Satan
I'll still have you by my side, huh

I went against his word
I hope he understands why
Conscience got me hurt
She turns away at my cries

Oochie wally wally
Oochie bang bang
Oochie wally wally
Oochie bang bang

Oochie wally wally
Oochie bang bang
Oochie wally wally
Oochie bang bang

Oochie wally wally
Oochie bang bang
Oochie wally wally
Oochie bang bang

Oochie wally wally
Oochie bang bang
Oochie wally wally
Oochie bang bang

Now the Lord is on his way
I can hear him in the distance
Put these figs upon my waist
He won't spot us if we're hidden

But he calls me by the name
I must answer to his wishes
I told him I was afraid
And he knew why I was shivering

I could only answer straight
She said she wouldn't chill with me
If I didn't have a taste
I'm ashamed and I was guilty

And he looked her in the face
And he asked her why she did this
Of course she shifted the blame
Didn't stop the consequences

Now the earth I was to till
Has been cursed, is meant to kill
You were meant to keep me company
You shook me from my will

Yeah your only job was loving me
You treat it like a bill
Because you can touch the ugly
And keep your beauty still

Lilith just wouldn't sleep under me
And so she ran away
But you made me submit cunningly
And you led me astray

Now I know better how women be
Now I know how they play
My mission is overcoming me
And lusting how she's made

Oochie wally wally
Oochie bang bang
Oochie wally wally
Oochie bang bang

Oochie wally wally
Oochie bang bang
Oochie wally wally
Oochie bang bang

Oochie wally wally
Oochie bang bang
Oochie wally wally
Oochie bang bang

Oochie wally wally
Oochie bang bang
Oochie wally wally
Oochie bang bang
