There is a point when a person has to make the transition from the protection of childhood to the pressure of adulthood. The intro is a clip from a larger video about “Walking Through the Fire”, whicb is a revelation by an 18-year old young man named Yaiden (who happens to be my brother). In the revelation, Yaiden realizes that he must go through pain in order to make progress—hence “Walking Through the Fire”.
Different people have different experiences that get them to reach this understanding; they also come at different times. Of course, too, it’s about maintaining the attitude so you don’t resort back to your more reckless and irresponsible ways, which takes work. We’re all young and reckless, making mistakes and we’re helpless because we’re humans. But we always desire to make a positive impact on the world and lean toward the desire for honor.
“Young and Reckless” is a song about maturity.
lyrics
I’m bout to spaz on em
I won’t feel bad on em
I don’t put bad on em
I wish the best for em
They be talking
I get this cash on em
Pick my battles
I had to pass on em
The last laugh on em
The light flex on em
My left foot on their neck
I ain’t gone let up, no
So busy tryna put shit to rest
Look what you slept on though
They can hear the claps
But I make a rap while I make the headboard go
You’re my Life
Take my kids
Be my wife
Nakedness
Get you right
Pussy whispers
Get inside
I ain’t got time to be flexing
We come around it’s infectious, whoa
How she ride on me like Westerners
Rodeo, cowgirl, Texas hoes
We just young and we reckless
Make mistakes and we helpless
Make a way for ourselves
And pave the way for the next gen
I ain’t gone tell you again
I gotta sell you the hand
I get no help with my hands
I gotta settle these bills bills bills
All by myself though forreal real real
…
I used to Jack, got a Jill Jill Jill
Help me relax, gotta chill chill chill
… But not to these racks,
My mom dukes had an accident
Mom just picked up one more job to be dad again
This always happens it kills, kills, kills…
…
Ain’t got no cap I just fill, fill, fill
They still ain’t packed up my pills, pills, pills
Even my dad couldn’t deal, deal, deal
You’re my Life
Take my kids
Be my wife
Nakedness
Get you right
Pussy whispers
Get inside
I ain’t got time to be flexing
We come around it’s infectious, whoa
How she ride on me like Westerners
Rodeo, cowgirl, Texas hoes
We just young and we reckless
Make mistakes and we helpless
Make a way for ourselves
And pave the way for the next gen
Doing the most gone always make
The others feel they less than
So you would hope that who you think closest
Is most fit for best friend
Can they control themselves
Withhold themselves they just want to step in
They want to have all the answers
But don’t ask the question
Money the culprit, we gotta solve it
They got their souls for selling
Go to the polls, they proving a point
The bullshit will we accept it
I can’t ignore it, they tryna pour it
…
I can’t ignore it, they tryna force it….
You’re more important.
You’re my Life
Take my kids
Be my wife
Nakedness
Get you right
Pussy whispers
Get inside
I ain’t got time to be flexing
We come around it’s infectious, whoa
How she ride on me like Westerners
Rodeo, cowgirl, Texas hoes
We just young and we reckless
Make mistakes and we helpless
Make a way for ourselves
And pave the way for the next gen
