This song is about someone who cares who is encouraged to go out and give the chance of meeting people and being vulnerable while battling the contradictions/differences that exist all throughout the world while he only sees where they can combine -- showing why they should work together. The world works in such a way where a great one comes around in one of the arts and inspires people to break from their chains and restraints, and once he and whatever of his legacy passes, the people revert to whatever they were doing before they were so inspired by the light that shone for them. How I perceive this is there are many false leaders, insofar as people who make themselves leaders for the sake of exploiting people for their duty of Evil -- keeping the people's ears covered.
